Medicinal values of Magnificent Mangoes!!

Mango Fruit!!

It contains Mangiferin(a pharmacologically active flavonoid) a polyphenolic antioxidant and a glucosyl xanthone, which has strong antioxidant, anti lipid peroxidation, immunomodulation, cardiotonic, hypotensive, wound healing, antidegenerative , anti-inflammatory, anticancer properties and antidiabetic activities. 

-The fruit is a pre-biotic dietary fiber rich in minerals and is a very good source of Vitamin-A and flavonoids (beta-carotene, alpha-carotene, and beta-cryptoxanthin).

Maintaining healthy mucus membranes and skin

-Fresh mango is a very rich source of Potassium

Properties:

An important component of cell and body fluids that helps controlling heart rate and blood pressure.

Mango Leaves!!

Rich in Vitamin A, B, and C, pectin, folates, mango leaves have effective antioxidant agents and high content of flavonoid and phenols.

Mango Tea:(with Mango leaf)

Take 10 to 15 mango leaves and boil in 250 ml of water till, in slow heat,  the color changes to pale yellow. Keep it overnight. Mango tea is ready.

It encourages hair growth and the production of sebum — a liquid that helps moisturize the scalp to keep the hair healthy

Causes Allergies:
Mango skin( peel) & leaves resin may contain tiny amounts of urushinol, which can trigger dermatitis to sensitive people. 

Causes Itchiness:
This is also known as mango latex allergy, which causes extreme irritation at the angles of lips, mouth, and tip of the tongue. 

Kidney Problems:
Mangoes have potassium content and too much consumption can be dangerous. The kidney may struggle with removing excess potassium from the blood.

 

Best time for Mango consumption: Before Lunch or Evening Snacks

Best time for Mango Tea consumption: Before breakfast or as Evening Tea!!
