Q. Should we use Pure KUMKUMADI TAILAM on our face on daily basis?

The word beauty is derived from the French word BEAU meaning “fine”, and of late “beloved’.

On the contrary the word “Sundara’ which is the adjective of the noun “ Soundarya’ is derived from the Sanskrit root

“ ardrikaroti chittam iti ” – meaning that “which melts or is pleasing to the mind”.

The difference in concept as per Ayurveda (Sundara) & Western science ( Beauty) is evident in meaning & depth of the word.

Human skin is a biological marvel and the largest organ in body both by body weight & surface area.

The facial skin is four times thinner than the skin of the body.

It is sensitive and exposed to the environmental pollutants on a continuous basis, which makes it more tender & sensitive.

Kukumadi tailam is one of the ANCIENT AYURVEDIC preparations in ( Sesame oil Base)  & ghrita ( Go Ghrita- Called Kumkumadi ghrita)  formulation in oil or ghee base.  Mention of Kumkumadi  tailam or oil was found in  Ashtanga  Hridaya,  Chakradutta and Bhaishajya Ratnavali .
